2026-27 League Season
     The Bluegrass Classic league bowls Monday nights at 7:00 p.m. at Kingpin Lanes in Louisville, Ky.  The league will hold an organizational meeting on August 31, 2026, at Kingpin Lanes to organize teams, establish rules for the season, and set the weekly bowling rate.  The league will begin bowling September 14 2026, and bowl 14 weeks before the holiday break. The second segment will begin on January 4, 2027, and bowl 15 weeks. The league will meet again on April 19, 2027, for distribution of the prize fund.

     Although everyone is encouraged to attend the meeting, for voting purposes, attendance is not required. If you are unable to attend, please just let me know by email or text if you plan to bowl and if you have teammates.

      The league will accept additional teams during the first three weeks of each half of the season, based upon lane availability. Individuals can join anytime a team is looking for teammates. Please contact the league secretary (see email and phone on this page) if you are interested.  

     Everyone that bowls or substitutes on the league is required join the United States Bowling Congress (unless already paid in another league for the season) and pay the weekly bowling fee.  The league is comprised of four-man teams.  Each team should have a minimum of four permanent bowlers and may utilize alternates. Exceptions can be made for a three-man team if necessary.

The League
     The Bluegrass Classic league was formed circa 1983 as an LGBT bowling league and was one of the first LGBT leagues formed in the United States and Canada. The league has continuously bowled since its formation. The league is a member of the United States Bowling Congress and the International Gay Bowling Organization.
