Please join us for the first Bluegrass Summer Classic mini-tournament on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Kingpin Lanes. This will be a great opportunity to support the Bluegrass Classic Bourbon Bowl and visit Louisville without the threat of cold temperatures, snow, and ice!

This will be a one day event consisting of a 3-game team event, a 3-game doubles event, and a VIRTUAL singles event (singles score will be comprised of the bowler's best 3 of 6 games bowled).  In addition, there will be the usual optional events offered such as Scratch Divisions, Women's Handicap, Senior Handicap, Brackets, and Mystery Score. An awards ceremony will take place shortly after bowling at our host bar Chill Bar Highlands.

Handicap for the tournament will be ninety percent (90%) of the difference between the bowler's entering average and two hundred thirty (230). Entering averages will be based on the bowlers' 2024-25 USBC composite average. Bowler's without a 2024-25 USBC composite average should contact the statistician to discuss an alternate qualifying average. Bowlers with no qualifying average will enter at 230 (men) or 200 (women).

Each event shall have its own prize list which will be based upon a minimum return ration of 1:8. Prize money will be awarded at Chill Bar Highlands following the tournament, or within thirty (30) days of the tournament if a pending protest prevents immediate payout.

Registration is tentatively set for a maximum of 80 bowlers. The tournament committee will consider increasing the maximum registration provided there is sufficient interest and provided reasonable accommodations can be provided by the Kingpin Lanes.
