2023-24 League Season
The annual organizational meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m., September 11, 2023, at Kingpin Lanes. The purpose of the meeting is to ratify league rules, ratify weekly bowling fee, ratify weekly bowling time, and form teams. Attendance at the meeting is not required to join the league. If you wish to join the league and do not plan to attend the organizational meeting, please contact the league Secretary for inclusion on the league.
The Bluegrass Classic league bowls Monday nights at 7:00 p.m. at Kingpin Lanes in Louisville, Ky. The league will begin bowling September 18, 2023, and bowl 14 weeks before the holiday break. The second segment will begin on January 8, 2024, and bowl 15 weeks. The league will meet again on April 22, 2024, for distribution of the prize fund.
Everyone that bowls or substitutes on the league is required join the United States Bowling Congress (unless already paid in another league for the season) and pay the weekly bowling fee (currently $18.00). The league is comprised of four-man teams. Each team should have a minimum of four permanent bowlers and may utilize alternates. Exceptions can be made for a three-man team if necessary.

The League
The Bluegrass Classic league was formed circa 1983 as an LGBT bowling league and was one of the first LGBT leagues formed in the United States and Canada. The league has continuously bowled since its formation. The league is a member of the United States Bowling Congress (fka American Bowling Congress) and the International Gay Bowling Organization.
